Please note, these pictures are here to help us understand your taste. However, it does not mean it will look exactly like the picture. Every client’s features are different. We measure client’s facial features, and make sure the final look will be something to match your face entirely.
  2. A ”before picture’’ will be taken.
  3. We then start the Pre-draw portion of your appointment; this can take up to 30 minutes to an hour. We measure your features and draw out what your eyebrows will look like in shape and size. At this point of time, the client and tech will go over any adjustments desired by the client. Once the client feels confident about the pre-draw we continue to our next step.
  4. Tech will then start the procedure; this process can take 2-3 hours for Ombre Powder and 1-2 for Microblading. The time will depend on how easy your skin takes in the ink.

How we all struggle drawing our eyebrows every morning:
Eyebrows can seem like a living struggle to stay on top of, especially when you have to do them in the early morning.
If you drink way too much caffeine, they can look uneven, and will mess up your entire makeup routine! And every woman wants to avoid that, right?
Well, if you are on a lookout for a different solution, and you are not afraid of taking it a step further then great, this article is for you!
Powder Brows – A Great Option for Many
Sick and tired of drawing, filling, or even waxing your eyebrows?
Well, there are several alternative and professional solutions that you can go for.
In fact, some women go with micro-bladed brows, while others turn to powder brows, which is what we are going to look at today.
What is the Difference Between Microblading and Powder Brows?
We get asked this question a lot, so here goes:
Microblading; Microblading is a form of tattooing natural hair like strokes onto your eyebrows, the arch, and the tail.
A certified expert will perform a permanent technique which will give you an even base, and unique shape which will suit your face the best. The process is done manually with a tool called microblader.
This machine works thanks to its micro-needles which give out a precise and flat stroke, as long as the process is done by a professional with a steady hand.
Who Should Do Microblading?
Women who have very thin, sparse, or over-tweezed brow hair will love this method.
Microblading can give out fullness, and a naturally bushy brow.
And the outcome can last for 6-18 months which is just excellent.
Who Shouldn’t Go for This Solution?
Women who have oily skin or large pores will not love the outcome since it can disappear the easiest in their case. Also, if you have any autoimmune disease, or if you are in menopause you should not be looking into micro-bladed brows.
Questions often Asked.
One of the questions We are asked most frequently is what is the difference between microblading vs powder brows?
Both services are a form of cosmetic tattooing and have a lot in common, but there are distinct differences. Skin type plays a large role for candidates considering microblading and powdered brows, as well as the look you are trying to achieve.
Microblading uses a hand tool to create realistic looking hair strokes in the brow line. Powdered brows help clients achieve more of a powdered or ombre look instead of individual hair strokes. Powdered brows have a soft makeup look and work great for clients with oily or mature skin. Many clients opt for this look even if they do not have oily skin, as it provides a filled-in look that works perfectly for their skin type and personal preferences. Both brow styles can be adjusted to look soft or intense depending on your style and desired look.
During the microblading process, your specialist will apply hand-drawn hair strokes meticulously into the epidermal layer of the skin using a hand tool and pigment. For microblading, dip the hand tool into pigment and then delicately apply it to the skin as individual hair strokes. Microblading mimics realistic hair-like strokes, which are designed to flow like a natural eyebrow. The microblading look works great for clients who want to fill in gaps in the brow line or create brows where hair has been lost. I often recommend microblading for fair-skinned, fair-haired clients hoping to achieve a natural look.
For clients with oily skin, microblading strokes may fade faster, need more touchups, or expand a little. If you have oily skin, we recommend powdered brows or a combination brow.
Powered/Machine Brows
Powdered brows can be done with a machine or hand tool in order to create an ombre look instead of individual hair strokes. I recommend powdered brows for individuals with oily skin, mature skin, and for those wanting a soft makeup look. The soft makeup look means that the tails of the brows are darker and fade to a lighter at the start of the brows, giving them a subtle look. The ideal candidates for powdered brows are those who have hair but fill in with makeup. If you have thinner brows, we can add in hair strokes after for additional texture. Powdered brows traditionally last for 2-4 years while microblading usually lasts 2-3 years.
Combination Brows
For clients wanting both the look of microblading hair strokes and shaded, powdered brows, we are glad to offer you “Combination Brows” to achieve the look you have been dreaming of. For combination brows, our artist (Kathy) will use some strokes to create a natural hair look and then add in soft shading through the rest of the brow. Strokes are usually drawn around the edges where they will be the most visible and then powered shading is added to the body of the brow to give it a full look that retains a beautiful shape every day.
Enhance your natural beauty with gorgeous brows, eyeliner, and lips. Book a consultation session with Kathy today by calling 202 232 6475 and our front desk staff would be happy to assist you.
(Free 2 month touch up, check cancellation policy)
Please note, this is a semi-permanent procedure. Touch ups every 1 year to 3 years is recommended to keep the shape and color fresh. Touch ups after the initial process varies from person to person. Depending on skin type, environmental factors and skin products used that may or may not cause the fading process to accelerate.
Beautifully shaped eyebrows enhance and lift the eyes, draw attention to your cheek bones frame the face.
Permanent eyeliner can enhance sparse lashes or give more definition to the eyes. It is ideal for active people, contact-lens wearers, those who cannot apply eyeliner, or those whose makeup always smudges/ fades.
You can be confident that your pout will always be on point. Perfect for everyone whether you want a subtle brightening effect to lips, create fuller lips or correct asymmetrical lips/color.
