Managing the Holiday Stress

Welcome to the holiday season— while this season is meant to bring feelings of love and
cheer, it also provokes overbearing holiday stress for many. While stress itself is
necessary for our survival and zest for life, too much stress harms our health, both mental
and physical. To help navigate the holiday season we’ve put together different types of
resources related to stress and the benefits of massage therapy.
Massage therapy has been shown to significantly reduce stress on both physical and
psychological levels. Massage is generally considered part of integrative medicine. It’s
increasingly being offered along with standard treatment for a wide range of medical
conditions. Massage benefits can include increasing relaxation, reducing pain and muscle
soreness, improving circulation, adding energy and alertness, lowering heart rate and
blood pressure, and improving immune function.

Massage is a general term for pressing, rubbing, and manipulating your skin, muscles,
tendons, and ligaments. Massage therapies can range from light stroking to deep pressure such as therapeutic massage.
There are many different types of massage, here are some treatments that we highly
suggest to our clients:

  • Swedish massage. This is a gentle form of massage that uses long strokes,
kneading, deep circular movements, vibration, and tapping. It helps you feel
    relaxed and energized.
  • Deep massage. This massage technique uses slower, more forceful strokes to
target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. It’s commonly used to
help with muscle damage from injuries.
  • Trigger point massage. This massage focuses on areas of tight muscle fibers that
can form in your muscles after injuries or overuse.
  • CBD massage. CBD helps relieve the pain associated with injuries to the joints,
muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves by penetrating deep to quickly increase
blood flow to joints and muscles.
  • Himalayan Salt Stones massage.   Himalayan salt stones are massaged into the
tissue to release fatigue and tight muscles. Himalayan Salt Stones are known to
give off negative ions which uplift the mood and relieve stress.
  • Cupping & Scraping massage – Cupping and Scraping helps break up scar tissue &
knots. It also helps relieve pain, tension, and daily stress. Cupping is supposed to
promote healing and has been used extensively for sore muscles. It softens muscle

tissue and helps to relieve muscle knots which results in looser feeling, more
flexible muscles.

For the month of December, book your 50-minutes cupping therapy massage for only $139.
